• Vintage B&L Ray-Ban Glass Polarised Large Metal 62mm Sunglass

    £150.00Price

Up for sale are these very rare and hard to find pair of Glass Polarised Large Metal Aviator sunglasses.

Released in 1994, they are the Arista gold frame variant with Glass Polarised GP lenses. Nosepads are the etched version. With transparent paddle.

These are Ray-Ban's 1st generation polarised lenses, which they called Ray-Ban 'GP'. The lenses have a filter in each lens which is set to trap all light travelling in the horizontal plane and thus eliminate polarised reflection.  These lenses absorb 83% of visible light, bring down overall light levels down to full comfort conditions.

Approx. 146mm wide from hinge to hinge.

Markings present, which includes stamps to top and bottom of the brow bar. The frame is in super condition. The temples are tight, straight and true

The 62mm sized lenses are etched and are in overall really good condition. Both lenses have slight degradation at the bottom of each lens and there are very minor light marks which are mostly insignificant and do not affect vision in any way.

A lovely example for both end user and collector.
